These rules are a translation. The French version prevails.
Each week, from Monday 0:00 to Sunday 24:00 (Douala time), 10 matches are offered, the same for all players. They are chosen on Monday morning by a fixed rule, in this order: the five major European leagues and the Champions League; Cameroon's matches; those of the other African national teams; the other national teams in official competition; the other leagues; the other friendly matches; youth teams last. At equal rank, the teams best placed in their league come first.
When the major leagues do not play enough (international break), the matches are spread over the days of the week. An offered match always leaves at least one hour to be predicted.
You predict the score of each match, and can change it until its kick-off. After kick-off, the prediction is locked.
The score used is the final score of the match. A postponed or cancelled match counts for no one.
There are 5 levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond. Every new player starts in Bronze.
You enter the week's Challenge with your first prediction. Groups are formed at the week's first kick-off: the players of each level are split equally, in groups of at most 20 players.
A level with fewer than 5 players in the week joins the nearest neighbouring level (the lower one in case of a tie); if there are fewer than 5 players in total, everyone plays in the same group. In a group that mixes several levels, each player moves up, moves down and wins according to their own level. A player who arrives after the groups are formed joins the group closest to their level that still has room.
At the end of the week, the top players of each group move up one level and the bottom players move down one level: at most 3 moving up and 3 moving down, and at most a third of the group in each direction. A player with no points does not move up, and the 1st of a group never moves down. No one goes below Bronze or above Diamond. A player who does not play one week keeps their level.
On equal points, the player with the most exact scores goes ahead; if there is still a tie, the one who joined the week first.
The 1st of each group, whatever its size, wins days of Janus-12 subscription according to their level, if they scored at least one point:
At most 14 days won per player per month. Days won are activated with your next subscription, whether or not you have a subscription running: they are added to the plan you pay for next. They cannot be exchanged for money or transferred.
Any member registered on Janus-12, aged 21 or over, free of charge and with no purchase obligation. One account per person: multiple accounts are excluded from the Challenge.
Your username, your points and your exact scores are visible to the players in your group. Your predictions are not. This data is deleted with your account. The details are on the Personal data page.
